On Friday 19th January 2024, the team at Radio Tyneside was delighted to welcome Jill, Fay, and Darren from Newcastle Hospitals Charity, a charity committed to supporting staff, patients, and the wider community of Newcastle hospitals.
Newcastle Hospitals Charity donated a generous £50,000 to the station in summer 2023 to help Radio Tyneside on its journey to digital, and it was a real pleasure to show them round the studios yesterday.
During the visit, the teams had exciting discussions about how the donation is helping the station move forward, as well as how Radio Tyneside and the charity can continue to collaborate closely in the future.
Station Director Richard Finch said: “We are very grateful to Newcastle Hospitals Charity for their support, both financial and in terms of giving advice and encouragement.
“We are looking forward to developing our relationship and seeing how we can work together as we approach our 75th anniversary in 2026.”
