Your Award Winning Station (Again)! |
 We were given a 'Highly Commended' in the Special Award for
Outstanding Contribution category at the National Hospital Radio
Awards 2008 held in Leeds on 29 March.

We received a 'Highly Commended' award in the Christian
Broadcasting Council's Annual Media Awards. It was for our Christmas Day Carol
Service which we recorded at the Milbourne Methodist Chapel in
Northumberland.
Produced by Radio Tyneside, it was syndicated to 18 Hospital Radio
Stations on Christmas Day.
The judges said: “An excellent concept linking 18 Hospital Radio
Stations across the UK. A challenging undertaking but one which must
have brought much joy to those in hospital at Christmas." |

New look studios |

Our new look studios have been completed!
We are due to move in the near future, but our old
equipment was starting to prove to be so unreliable that we had to
spend a lot of money to refurbish our studios at the Newcastle
General.
Thanks to the help of a lot of sponsors we were able to do this, but
we are still attempting to raise the £40,000 needed for our
