Official Opening of the Radio Tyneside Studios

We were delighted to welcome Alan Shearer to officially open the Radio Tyneside studios on Monday 8th March.

A full report, including photographs, will be available here online when the Radio Tyneside website relaunches on Sunday 21st March 2010.

Great North Run 2009

The Great North Run was held in Tyneside on Sunday 26th September with over 50,000 participants. None other than Radio Tynesides very own Tom Chittenden was out pounding the streets raising money for improvements to the broadcasting service we deliver. Not only did he participate, but completed the 13.1 mile route in a personal best time of 1 hour 41 minutes.

A big well done to Tom from everyone at Radio Tyneside.

The Radio Tyneside team were also out interviewing some well known faces including Gordon Ramsay, Nell McAndrew and Kara Tointon (Previously Dawn Swann in Eastenders!) Pictures of the event will soon be online for all to see.
