A team
of Radio Tyneside volunteers took part in the Great North 10k
Run, in and around Tyneside.
The route ran from Gateshead International Stadium, along Saltmeadows
Road, then down past the Baltic and the Sage, continuing on
the Gateshead side of the River Tyne, before returning back to
Gateshead Stadium.

to have their chests waxed.

Congratulations
to Kat Shrubb
for taking part in the 2011 North Tyneside 10k Road Race raising money
for
the Radio Tyneside Diamond Appeal.
Starting at 10am from North Shields Sports Centre, following the coast
for 6.2 miles, to finish at St Mary's Lighthouse in Whitley Bay.
Kat's time was a personal best for the run, finishing in 58 minutes.
